For the past several months, my teammates - Safik, Mo, and I - have been working on something we’ve wanted as medical students ourselves: a unified platform that simplifies learning, revision, and collaboration across the first two years of medical school. Today, we’re excited to share what’s next.
At the end of this month, we’re launching free early access to our two core projects:
-
Cada - a massive question bank covering Y1 and Y2 medical content, designed to help you practice efficiently and track your progress.
-
DoNotes - a secure, cross-platform note-taking app built for med school, with structured tagging, encryption, and seamless access across devices.
If you’d like to be part of the early access launch, you can sign up here: https://tally.so/r/nrzRj5.
A Huge Thank You
To everyone who filled out the market research form that Safik shared - thank you. Your insights have been invaluable. If you entered your email there, you’re already on the early access list and will receive your invitation on October 31st.
If you haven’t yet filled out the form but want to contribute your thoughts (and join the early access list), you can still do so here: https://tally.so/r/wg27BO.
What to Expect on Launch
At the end of this week, those who signed up will receive an invitation link to join. Once you click the link and sign up or sign in, your account will automatically gain early access. The link is one-time use and cannot be shared with others.
During the early access period, you won’t be charged for anything. There’s no obligation to subscribe to any paid plans later on. Pricing will be announced closer to our full release, but we can confirm there will always be a generous free tier for both DoNotes and Cada.
Your Feedback Shapes Everything
We rely heavily on user feedback to improve our tools. That’s why we’ve introduced a new, dedicated feedback system that makes communication more direct and transparent. You can access it here: https://donotes.featurebase.app/.
We want to hear your suggestions, concerns, and feature requests - everything that helps us make DoNotes and Cada more useful for you.
Reporting Issues and Server Status
Early access will also help us test server load capacity. If you ever encounter downtime or performance issues, check https://status.donotes.app/ to see if the servers are running smoothly. Scheduled maintenance will also be announced there.
For any bugs or technical issues, use the built-in report tool inside the app or email us at [email protected].
If you spot any content inaccuracies, copyright concerns, or other legal issues, please reach out via the same email.
The Vision
This project has been in the works for a long time. Our goal is simple: to make med school learning faster, more connected, and less stressful. Whether you’re revising a tough physiology concept or building your own library of notes, we want these tools to feel intuitive and reliable.
We can’t wait for you to try them out.
If you have any questions or just want to learn more, visit https://donotes.app or message any of us directly.
